Expression
of Interest
Ministry of
Food Processing Industries, Government of India intends to engage reputed
consultants to conduct comprehensive study of Fruit Products Order, 1955 for
its review. The study shall need to be
completed within four months of the award of work.
2. The scope of the study would cover
overall review of the existing Fruit Products Order, 1955 and suggest
amendments based on the scientific developments and modernisation in the Fruit
& Vegetable processing industry.
Consultants with expertise
in conducting such studies are invited to submit Expression of Interest for
selection to Shri R.K. Bansal, Director, M/o Food Processing Industries,
Panchsheel Bhawan, August Kranti Marg, New Delhi 110049 by 1500 hours on dated
10.07.2007, in a sealed cover superscribing “ Expression of Interest for review
of FPO” along with refundable earnest money of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten
thousand only) by way of demand draft in favour of “Pay & Accounts officer”
M/o Food Processing Industries, New Delhi payable at Delhi. Ministry of
Food processing Industries reserves the sole right to accept or reject any or
all Expressions of Interest without assigning any reason therefor. Together
with the Expression of Interest, the following details are to be sent: -
(i)
Full
particulars of the Constitution, ownership, organizational structure and main
activities of the prospective consultant, including details of full time
professionals.
(ii)
Unabridged
annual reports or audited financial accounts for the last three years.
(iii)
Names
and short CVs of the full time & part time experts proposed to be involved
in the work (the CVs would need to be
backed by written commitment of the person of availability of his service)
(iv)
Details
of major assignments undertaken of a similar nature, during the last five years.
Reputed consultants or
consulting firms registered under the Societies Act/ Companies Act having an
experience of at least 5 years in conducting such studies and a minimum annual
turnover of at least Rs. 1 crore during
the last three years will be eligible.
Research and Educational Institutions are exempted from the eligibility
condition of having a minimum annual turn over of at least Rs. 1 crore. Having sector specific experience and
in-house capability to manage the study, will be an added advantage.
Eligible applicants would be
required to make a presentation of their credentials and the proposal before a
committee of Officers constituted by the M/o Food Processing Industries. The
exact date, time and venue of the presentation will be intimated separately. The
parties will be assessed broadly on the following criteria:
i). General Criteria
a). Organisational structure and
constitution
b). Core business and duration of business
c). Technical and managerial capability of the
firm
d). Performance record of the last three years.
ii). Methodology and work programme
iii). Experience in the field of assignment
and Qualification of key team members
to be deployed in the work (full time
& part time separately)
The short listed parties will thereafter be asked to submit financial bids.
