1. DEVELOPMENT OF COMMERCIAL HORTICULTURE THROUGH PRODUCTION AND POST-HARVEST MANAGEMENT
(A) COMPONENTS

(C) PARTERN OF ASSITANCE
  1. Back-ended capital investment subsidy not exceeding 20% of the project cost with a maximum limit of Rs. 25 lakh per Project. (rs. 30 lakhs for North East/ Trival Areas) of Production Post Harvest Management and Primary processing of the horticulture Produce.
(D ) How To Way
  1. Project to be submitted in prescribed format for issuance of letter of intent (LOI)
  2. NHB will issue LOI to eligibli project, which will remain valid for 1 year from date of issue.
  3. Promoter should approach to the Bank FI of his choice after obtaining LOI from NHB. 
  4. The Project should be implemented within a period of 2 years from date of sanction of term loan. 
  5. Term Loan should be at least 25% of the project cost up to project size of Rs. 30 lakh and 40% of project cost for project larger than Rs. 30 lac.
  6. On completion, Bank will submit proposal to NHB for release of subsidy along with fact sheet.
(E) PROCESSING FEE

2. CAPITAL INVESTMENT SUBSIDY SCHEME FOR CONSTRUCTION/EXPANSION/ MODERNIZATION OF COLD STORAGES FOR HORTICULTURE PRODUCE

(A) COMPONENTS

1.      Cold storage
2.      Controlled Atmosphere (CA)/Modified Atmosphere (MA) Storage
3.      Onion Storage

(B) PATERN OF ASSISTANCE

Back-ended capital investment subsidiy not exceeding 25% of the project cost with a maximum limit of Rs.50 lakhs per project (Rs.60 lakhs for North East areas @ 33%)

(C) HOW TO APPLY
  1. Project involving term loan may be submitted to Banks/FIs?NCDC as the case may be for appraisal/sanction of loan and release of NHB subsidy.
  2. For self-finance projects, LOI in prescribed format is needed.
(D) PROCESSING FEE

4. MARKET INFORMATION SERVICE FOR HORTICULTURE CROPS
  1. General information on wholesale prices,arrivals and trendsin various markets for horticulture produce and
  2. Dissemination of information through Media & Publications
  3. To assist farmers, exporters, dealers research organisations etc.
5. HORTICULTURE PROMOTION SERVICE
  1. Techno-Eonomic Feasibility Studies to review the present status of horticulture development in particular area/state
  2. Identify constraints and suggest remedial measures
  3. Develop short term & long terms strategies
  4. Provide consultancy services and expert services
  5. Studies through Professional Consultants.
  6. 100% financial assistance
